Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Do you work with children under 5 years of age?
Yes. We do require talent of all ages to have industry-standard professional photos.
2. Can I still submit if I don’t have a current professional picture?
Yes, please still submit, however, remember that as a professional talent agency, we require our clients to have professional pictures, as this is our only tool in submitting them to projects, at times.
3. I currently have another agent in the Nashville market. Are you exclusive?
Yes, BNA Talent Group is an exclusive agency in the Nashville market. Before you begin the process of looking for other representation besides the agency you work with now, we recommend that you request a meeting with your current agency to discuss your goals and desires and their ability or interest in continuing a working relationship with you. We, as agents, recognize that talent have the right to be represented by anyone they choose, however, loyalty goes a long way in our industry with certain agents. If, after that suggested meeting, you are still looking for other representation, we would love for you to submit to us. BNA Talent Group works on both union and non-union projects. All talent meetings, referrals and discussions are confidential.
4. What is BNA Kids?
BNA Kids is the commercial division for kids of BNA Talent Group. Please visit www.BNAkids.com for more information.
5. I’ve been told that I only should sign with a union franchised agency. Are you?
BNA Talent Group is not franchised with any union. Did you know there are approximately 122 professionally recognized talent agencies that are not union-franchised agencies, either? Here are the facts: Tennessee is primarily a market that produces more non-union commercial projects than union. According to the two leading television and film performer’s unions, their members are not allowed to work on non-union projects. Since Tennessee is a “Right To Work” state, even if you are “Taft-Harley-ed” you do not have to join the union. There is also a status that union members can initiate called “financial core.” BNA Talent Group does not offer prospective clients any advice relating to unions or give legal advice or financial advice, however, to be “fair and equitable” we suggest you review this: To see one of the performer’s union’s opinion on this status, please click here.
