Josh Robbins – Owner | Veteran Talent Agent
Robbins has been an agent in Nashville since 2003, where he started as an assistant to the owner of a prestigous modeling agency. As an agent there, Robbins placed hundreds of models and actors in hundreds of projects for television, commercial, print, runway and promotions. After approximately 6.5 years and being promoted to Vice President of Product & Development– spearheading the development of the agency brand into additional booking markets: Memphis, New Orleans, Houston & Atlanta–Robbins & his former employer had to split paths because of the financial strains of the economy, early in 2009. Only taking a break from the industry for a couple months, Robbins re-emerged opening BNA Talent Group on famed Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee. “I learned and contributed so much early in my agent career, but I was finally thrilled to open my own Nashville talent agency. BNA Talent Group is certainly its own protege,” says Robbins. Since 2009, BNA Talent Group operates as one of the top talent agencies in Nashville. “My mom always made me watch the film Steel Magnolias, when I was a kid. I always will remember the line, ‘an ounce of pretentious is worth a pound of manure.’ The success of this agency is because I am afforded the opportunity represent the best actors, children and hosts around and I don’t for one second believe that we haven’t put in the hard work. From day one, we weren’t too good to work on any project,” Robbins says smiling. Currently Robbins serves as a board member for the Bianca Paige Awareness Network, a charitable organization raising funds and awareness for AIDS/HIV in Nashville, as well as volunteers for the Vanderbilt University HIV Vaccine Program “Hope Takes Action.” In 2011, Robbins took on the added responsiblity of co-creating and co-producing original television concepts with NASHWOOD Productions, working with Gretchen Bonaduce, Norma Sheely and Stevie Jesse Walker. Several of his co-creations are being produced currently. In May of 2011, Robbins partnered with renown manager, Trisha McClanahan to collaborate on a music/television project and continues to work aside industry veterans such as Trisha. Robbins also opened BNAKids.com (the first completely paperless kids division in Nashville).
